Build the future of circular industry

At EasyMining, we are in an exciting growth phase and are currently building a unique industrial plant in Germany based on our Ash2Phos technology. To get an engineer’s perspective on working here, we spoke with Johan Möller, Team Lead Mechanical & Piping.

The plant in Germany is a flagship facility that recovers phosphorus from sewage sludge ash and returns it to the value chain, supporting Europe’s transition towards more sustainable and independent resource use.

To support this journey, we regularly look for talented engineers to join us. At the moment, we are hiring a Lead Piping Engineer who wants to combine advanced engineering with real influence on projects, tools, and ways of working.

We asked Johan Möller, Team Lead Mechanical & Piping, three questions about the work and what it’s like to be part of EasyMining.

What makes this role particularly exciting?

– One of the most unique aspects is that you get to follow projects all the way from early design phases through construction to a running plant. What you design will actually be built and put into operation.

– It’s also a role where you can influence more than just your own deliverables. You’ll work hands-on in Aveva E3D, but also contribute to improving our workflows and how we work as a team. As we grow, that becomes increasingly important, says Johan Möller.

Why should someone choose EasyMining?

– You get to work with technology that truly makes a difference. Our processes focus on recovering critical resources from waste and turning them into valuable products again. That adds a strong sense of purpose to the engineering work.

– At the same time, we’re in a phase where our technologies are moving from development into full industrial implementation. The plant we’re building in Germany is a great example of that – it’s both groundbreaking and highly relevant on a European level, Johan says.

– We also have a very collaborative environment. Different disciplines work closely together, and there’s a strong culture of knowledge sharing and supporting each other in complex projects.

Who do you think will thrive in this role?

– Someone who is confident in their piping engineering skills and enjoys taking ownership of their work. You should have solid experience in tools like Aveva E3D, but also an interest in improving how things are done.

– You like collaborating with others, but you’re also comfortable working independently and driving your part of the project forward. And importantly, you enjoy being part of building something – not just plants, but also a growing engineering organization with evolving ways of working, Johan concludes.
